Fact: There is no evidence whatsoever that a Muslim woman Surayya Tayyabji designed the Indian flag. The person who actually designed the Indian flag (Swarajya) was Pingali Venkayya on Gandhi’s advice. In reality, Surayya Tayyabji was just one of the 74 members of the Flag Presentation Committee. This was recorded in parliament (constitutional debates). She did not design the national flag.
