Islamization of Kargil
Kargil was 91% Buddhist in 1901. Today, it is 77% Muslim. Entire demography of the border region has been changed in 120 years.
The Buddhists of Kargil never realized the danger to their existence until it was too late. Today, they live as minorities with a Muslim MP ruling over them and are staring at a future similar to that of Kashmiri Pandits.
