Muhammad and Ayurveda

When Prophet Muhammad himself recommended Ayurveda

Early Arabs were very primitive and they did not know any treatment for tonsils. They used to press throats of their afflicted children. Muhammad asked Arabs to use “Ud Al-Hindi” for treatment of throat and lung diseases. This is nothing but कुष्ठ plant. This plant grows in India and is extensively used in Ayurveda for the treatment of diseases related to throat, lungs and skin.

कुष्ठ plant grows in Kashmir,Himachal and Uttarakhand. Its roots are used in Ayurveda for treatment of Asthma, cough, throat and lungs.
