When Palestinians attacked Egyptian army in Rafah

Palestinian terrorists from Gaza attacked Egyptian Army via crossing the border through tunnels and killed 16 soldiers in 2012. Hamas denied its involvement.

In response, the Egyptian Army, bombed Rafah, destroyed 3255 residential & commercial buildings, made thousands of people homeless, razed around 685 hectares of cultivated farmland to form a bigger buffer zone with Palestine, and demolished 1200 Hamas tunnels.
