This map shows the extent of the empire of Raja Chach who was the father of Raja Dahir, the last Hindu king of Sindh. The map shows the extent of Sindh’s empire in 705 CE. Chach was a conqueror and one of the very few Indian kings who extended their empire beyond India. Chachnama says he planted trees at Kerman (Iran) as the boundary between his kingdom and that of the Islamic caliph of Damascus.

Chach’s son Dahir was defeated by Islamic invader Muhammad Bin Qasim around 711 CE. From then, Islamic kingdoms ruled Sindh until 1843 for more than 1100 years. Sindh then became a part of the British empire and subsequently a part of Pakistan. Chach dynasty was the last Hindu kingdom of Sindh.
